SUFFERING - DAY 1 DEVOTION

Suffering is a fundamental part of the Christian faith ~ 2 Timothy 3:12. And your Godly response to it grows through encountering God and meditating on His Word. The following verses, when memorized, can encourage you toward a Godly response to suffering.

Joseph replied, “Don’t be afraid. Do I act for God? Don’t you see, you planned evil against me but God used those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now—life for many people. Easy now, you have nothing to fear; I’ll take care of you and your children.” He reassured them, speaking with them heart-to-heart.
Genesis 50:19‭-‬21 MSG

But she said, “Don’t call me Naomi; call me Bitter. The Strong One has dealt me a bitter blow. I left here full of life, and God has brought me back with nothing but the clothes on my back. Why would you call me Naomi? God certainly doesn’t. The Strong One ruined me.”
Ruth 1:20‭-‬21 MSG

He told her, “You’re talking like an empty-headed fool. We take the good days from God—why not also the bad days?” Not once through all this did Job sin. He said nothing against God.
Job 2:10 MSG

Everyone who wants to live showing true devotion to God in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. People who are evil and cheat others will become worse and worse. They will fool others, but they will also be fooling themselves.
2 Timothy 3:12‭-‬13 ERV
